Research Networks
CyberaNet provides value to its members through its internet buying power and IX connections, but largely through its link to global research networks. Cybera is one of 13 provincial and territorial partners that, together with CANARIE, form Canada’s National Research and Education Network (NREN). The high-capacity, high-speed connections made possible through the NREN have been leveraged by Alberta post-secondaries and the Government of Alberta for many global research projects.
