The Virtual Firewall Service (VFS) is an integrated service from Cybera which is part of Cybera’s Rapid Access Cloud.
It is a virtual machine (VM), powered by OpenStack, which hosts a dedicated VFS hypervisor (also referred to as a "compute node") in the Rapid Access Cloud, connected to the Internet and your networks via OpenStack Neutron-based virtual networks and hardware-based network VLANs.
With both PAN-OS (Palo Alto), and FortiOS (Fortinet) available, either one can be acquired and deployed just like any other virtual machine, much like a virtual machine could run Linux, Microsoft Windows, or other operating systems.
